Creating Meaningful Spaces Means People First

Happy National Business Women’s Week! We’re spotlighting a woman whose drive and exuberance keeps us inspired daily – Latrelle Williams, our Supplier Diversity and Business Development Manager.
Latrelle has been in the commercial interiors world for over 16 years, and for her, it’s never been about just selling furniture. It’s about people — listening to them, understanding how they work, and creating spaces that make their everyday lives better.
“I don’t want my clients to settle,” she says. “I want to give them the experience where even if they have a certain budget, they are still getting that absolute very best.”
That mindset shows up in everything she does. Latrelle approaches projects like relationships, investing in the details. She takes her time, digs deeper, and really tries to see what the client might not even realize they need yet.
“I do a lot of… really listening for their vision. Hearing and seeing things that maybe they don’t see,” she explains. “Sometimes I’ll walk a space and point out small details that they might not have thought of, things that could really make a difference.”
When we asked what sets her apart, she didn’t even have to think.
“Sometimes our job is to say, ‘No, that won’t make sense,’” she says. “It’s not always easy, but you’ve got to guide them. Because if I just sell them something that doesn’t really work, they’ll remember that. I’d rather they trust me.”
Her honesty and pride in doing what’s right for her clients is what keeps her passionate about the work after 16 years in the industry.
“I remember thinking, it’s something about this furniture — something about creating spaces,” she says. “People know they need a pen. They know they need paper. Those things are essential. But when you create a space and it really answers a question, something they didn't know they needed but totally did - that's saying something. You created something just for them. You created something just for them.”
Latrelle loves what happens after the project is done. That she’s been a part of something that truly supports the people who use that space every day.
“Creating for something bigger — like bringing people a better work environment, a better life experience,” she says. “For them to actually experience beauty in their day-to-day… that’s a really remarkable thing. That somebody took the time to listen and to really care.”
With her creativity and care, Latrelle is changing workspaces for the better. And we’d love to share some of that intentional care with you – because you deserve a space that supports you instead of holds you back.
